How to put the free
GreetingCardPuzzles.com puzzle together
The puzzle pieces are randomly distributed on your computer screen.
To select a puzzle piece, place your mouse cursor overtop of the piece
and click the left mouse button. The puzzle piece will appear to be
"lifted" off of the page (see sample below), will have a slight shadow under it and will be
attached to your mouse cursor. You have grabbed the piece and can move
it around the screen. Once the piece is in place click the left mouse
button again to let it go.
To select a group of pieces, position your cursor so it is not on top of
any puzzle pieces, click and hold down the left mouse button and drag a
rectangle (a selection box). The selected pieces will be highlighted in
red. You can now grab this group of puzzle pieces and move them around
the same as a single piece. Click any other jigsaw puzzle piece or on
the desktop area to release the group of pieces.
To fit puzzle pieces together, move one piece into place beside another
and click your left mouse button to release it. If you have the correct
pieces and they are lined up correctly the pieces will magnetically
"snap" together. Once attached, they can no longer be separated. If the
pieces do not snap together, they are either the wrong combination or
the pieces were not correctly aligned. Remember that although some of
the pieces and edges may appear identical, there is only one way that
the pieces will fit together!
Some
GreetingCardPuzzles.com puzzles have "puzzle pieces" that are rotated
How to rotate a puzzle piece
Some of the puzzles include pieces that are rotated (this is indicated in
the puzzle description on each jigsaw puzzle download page on
GreetingCardPuzzles.com). To rotate the puzzle
pieces, select a puzzle piece by clicking it once with your left mouse
button. With your mouse cursor positioned over top of this selected
piece, click the right mouse button. Each time you click the right mouse
button the puzzle piece will rotate 90 (degrees) to the right. Rotating
puzzle pieces also works with a group of pieces. Highlight a group of
puzzle pieces, select them with your left button and then you can rotate
them as a group. After rotating a piece, click the left mouse button
again to release it.
Final note.
Just like a regular jigsaw puzzle, the
GreetingCardPuzzles.com
puzzle is only "active" as long
as it's open on your computer. Closing the puzzle program is the same as
placing the pieces back in the box - next time you'll have to start
over. If you need to stop working on your
GreetingCardPuzzles.com
puzzle for a while (maybe your
boss asked you to actually do some work...), just click on the Minimize
button on the Action menu and the puzzle will be minimized to your
Taskbar. As long as your computer stays turned on, the
GreetingCardPuzzles.com
puzzle will
remain active.
Have fun and return often to check for new jigsaw puzzles!
